Brett 'BAM' Middlin

Brett has been playing beach volleyball for in excess of 20 years; competing in national tour events across four continents. The youngest ever male to win a AAA rated event in NSW (17yo); Brett finished his final season in the state (2000-2001) as the no.1 ranked player, before heading over to Europe to compete.

An advocate for the ‘smart’ game adopted by the old guard of the original 9 x 9 court; Brett took those ideals and focussed them on coaching up and coming juniors. In 1997 he created the Northern Beaches Volleyball Association (NBVA) junior program, taking on the role of development coordinator. The program is now in its 14th year. In the years prior to playing overseas and then moving South, Brett oversaw a group of junior girls that won every age division at nationals…

Coaching since 1994, playing since 1989…Brett brings ample experience to his position with the Vic Beach Volleyball Academy.
